Randomly the other day when I tried to boot up my MBP, I hit the power button and nothing happened. Checked the battery indicator lights which showed that I had a charge and almost full battery, and tried plugging in the charger, which did light up as normal, but tried booting up but still nothing.

I quickly searched the web from my phone and saw suggestions about resetting SMC, but it did nothing. The only thing that worked and the reason why I am able to use my MBP currently is by doing a SMC bypass, which was holding power button for 10 seconds, putting the charger on and continue to hold for 10 seconds, and it booted up as if nothing happened.

So what gives? Might take it to Apple store and see what they say just to get an idea.
