So the power button on my iPhone 4 stopped working last weekend, no apparent reason, it's just done. I am also outside of my warranty. Is it worth it to spend the $200 to get a refurb? Should I just wait for iPhone 5? I guess I just need to be coddled right now.

Spend $200 now and sell it for $400+ in a few weeks... OR, make do with it now and sell it as is for like $250-$300 in a few weeks!

Funny, that's exactly the breakdown I was looking for. I will make money either way I'm sure, just a matter of "in the meantime."

Thanks for your help.

if your willing to. you can order a button from ifixit an replace it.

i did the same thing with my home button a few weeks ago, works like new, but it took 2 hours. :)

I did look at the steps to replace it online the other day, seemed beyond my skillset. I would like to do it though. Thanks for the idea.
