Anyone have an issue with the new iPhones where the power button is just too easily pressed? I have the 17 Pro Max with the tech woven case, and I keep either pressing the button enough to turn it off while using it, or even in my pocket, I will pull it out and the Apple Pay or wallet will be open

Not sure if it’s the phone or the case as I haven’t used it without the case. Maybe I’ll just have to either go case list or try a different case for a while.

On my air, the buttons are all clickier than other recent iPhones I’ve owned, so I think less prone to accidental press in comparison

I’d check how the buttons feel without the case

It’s probably me just being stupid and I have to get used to the new phone. But what made me really think about it is numerous times today when I pull it out of my pocket Apple Pay is up on the screen so I know the button is being pushed, most likely just when I’m pulling it out of my pocket though.

I got an ESR Clear case and the power button does not seem to get pressed near so easily

Coming from a 14PM I'm certainly having to get used to the extra buttons as I keep snagging them and switching on the camera / putting the iPhone into silent😄 Equally, when going for volume down by touch I'm increasing the volume as I get the wrong button. All part of the reprogramming curve for me rather than the phone!

Same for me - the 17 Pro feels more clickier than the 16 Pro - especially the camera control button.

What about your camera control button in comparison to the old model?

They all sound clickier - especially the camera control button.

Easily pressed? Yes - the buttons feel a bit lighter - but not the camera control button. I think this is a bit harder to press (and louder).

Try a different case. My number one pet peeve on cases is how well the buttons work or don’t work when you don’t want them too.

I have this problem with the Action button. I wanted to leave it alone and use it to mute. Being left handed, on long calls I must have been pressing it. Evidently this hangs up calls because it happened a lot. Disabled the button and have not had the problem since then.

I picked up two other cases and that does fix it, but I actually really like the Apple case so it kind of sucks to not be able to use that

Spoiler: there is no power button on the latest iPhones.
