I have a Macbook Pro 2015 that the power button no longer works and has a burnt smell. I did the AHT and did not fault it.
What could be the problem? Can I play another key to replace the power button on my Macbook?

Thanks so much!

How could you run the diagnostics, if the power button doesn't work?

I don't think you can reassign the power button to another key on the keyboard - even if that would help.
I doubt that the burn smell is from the power button itself, but more likely from some part in the power circuit, like a blown fuse on the logic board. You won't fix that, unless you are skilled in circuit board troubleshooting and repairs.
Best to take your MBPro to an Apple Store for a checkout, or a Mac authorized service provider, if you have one near you.

Hi Delta,

I made the diagnosis without the battery. Without the battery installed ... the power button works. With the power cord connected ... In authorized the possibility of changing the Top Case... and this is something expensive for me ...

Thanks
