I need to find some GPU power cables for an ATI 4870, I am about to but this cable on Amazon: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0051PWFCU/

My concern is that the cord is a dual 6-pin connector to single mini 6-pin connector -- will that potentially cause any problems with however the power is routed within the Mac Pro? I know new cards generally come with two single 6-pin to mini 6-pin cables and the logic board has two mini 6-pin ports on it.

Would you recommend buying two of the cables and only hook up one head each to be safe, or should it be fine to use the single cable with both heads?

just a note to anyone reading this, that last item (ebay sale) is free shipping, but it comes from Hong Kong, so the delivery estimate is 3-6 weeks. Which you might want to consider...
