I just noticed that when my Macbook 12" (2016 M5 model) is turned off and I connect the Apple USB-C Digital AV Multiport Adapter (where my charger is connected to) to my computer, the power chime is heard and on screen it shows battery 100%. However after 10 seconds or so the sound is played again and the image is shown too. This just goes on and on till I turn on the computer or take the cable out.

I can not imagine this is normal behaviour. Next to this I don't have any problems and the battery lasts for over 10 hours. Has anyone else experienced this? It only happens when the computer is turned off and I put the cable in. When turning the computer off when the cable is in, it won't play the chime.

sounds like it's connecting, disconnecting, reconnectiing. try reversing the plug, changing... something. hopefully, your usb-c port is not loose, or damaged. just my theory, of course.
