This is something that has been asked in a few threads, but figured I'd start a fresh one that explicitly asks the following:
Is there any data showing idle power draw from the 5300m vs variations of the 5500m? Similarly, for playing a simple YouTube video. I am not looking for the power draw when you run Cinebench to max everything, but when these cards are automatically engaged with an external monitor, as is the case with the latest 16 inch, and they are drawing power while doing regular daily activities. This in turn triggers the fan and so on... what I'm wondering is which is best thermally in these quotidian environments.
I cannot find anything on this besides anecdotal experiences of others (and myself). Has anyone run these sort of benchmarks?
