I can not connect to me comtrend wireless modem with router. I have another Mac Power Book Pro running os x 10.5.8 that has connected just fine from the start. I also have two iphones that connect just fine. Any ideas?

Correction the computer will pick up the network but will not connect.

How old of a Powerbook is it? Does it use an Airport or Airport Extreme card? Original Airport can only support 802.11b wireless networks, not G or N. Airport Extreme cards can support B or G but not N.

Also, whats the encryption used for the network? OSX 10.4 supports up to WPA but I believe it has trouble with WPA2 encryption.
