Power indicator light while sleeping?

Does your white power indicator light slowly fade in and out like MacBook Pros do when they sleep? Mine isn't doing it, but wanted to see if I wasn't alone. My 2013 rMBP slowly fades in and out.

Either it's a weird and unfortunate design of the Studio, or my Studio isn't truly sleeping.

The snoozing power light that gradually dims in and out hasn’t been implemented in years.
It was a nice touch.

Electrical tape should do the trick. Or for a better color match, maybe silver label tape.
