I am in the Market like many for a new
Mac Pro probabley the 8 core and want to know if my
WD raptors or for that matter any SATA 150 HD
will work in the Mac Pros that are designated for
SATA 300/SATAII/eSATA.

They will, but obviously only will give you the bandwidth of SATA 150.

I was thinking about this: what's more important for OS/Apps, bandwidth or read/write speed? Read/write speed, correct? When I get my MacPro, I'd like to throw a 150gb Raptor in it for the OS/Apps. How many do this?
