Hi, I am about to purchase a Power Mac G3 with one handle and on foot broken off. I have a spare G4 Quicksilver case for part and I wonder if the handles and feet will fit... Can anyone confirm this?

Thank you very much in advance!! ;)

While it would not look 100% right you can pretty much from my experience swap all the feet/handles from the g3 B/W all the way up to the FW/800 MDD.

Here's a B&W case with a foot off a QS.

As said, it doesn't look quite right but will certainly fit and be functional.

The side panels could also be exchanged between the two, and I think the Apple and leaf can be taken off with a good dose of being careful not to crack them. I'd try getting the Quicksilver logos off first to try, if that goes wrong at least your functional G3 won't have a damaged logo, and if you manage to do it, repeating it on the G3 panel will most likely be successful. I think the Quicksilver's glossy panels with the blue Apple logos will look better than the matte white panels of the G3. This is just what I'd do, though. Do notice that the G3 will not be visible through the gray paint, although with a big tub of high percentage isopropyl alcohol, you can get the paint off of the QS panels to make them clear, which adds a really nice seethrough effect with the metal underneath.

EDIT: Found an example image of a G3 with a G4 panel, made clear with the process I described and with the correct color Apple logo. It definitely looks nicer to me in combination with the clear feet and handles:

The G3 handles seem to be the most fragile of the bunch. I have four of the towers, although the only one with broken handles was the one that was shipped to me(they were intact before shipping). That's compared to I don't know how many of the other series of G4 towers that I've had shipped to me, and I think I've only had one broken handle across all of those.
