Yeah, looking at my local eBay, the cheapest price for a G3 B&W is $100!! Incredible....

Absolutely atrocious this many years after their production. I really hope he didn't kill one and if he did at least he would still have the parts.

I must give compliments because that is a really cool lamp idea!
 
I bought this G3 with faulty logic board very cheap (10€).
I've been looking for a while now for a dead G3 which has no cracks, scratches etc to do this, and I would like to have one with no electrical faults to play with (OS 9, early versions of OS X...).

Things like this never look as good on photo as they do in real life and that still looks amazing. :)

Excatly :D, maybe I will post some more photos made with friends DSLR (5D MKII).

Inside G3 there is 4.5 meters of glued LED tape. It shines like crazy. This mac is unfortunately dead, but it deserves every bit of fame.
