Over there....
i have a power mac g4 quicksilver with a upgraded 1.2 ghz cpu but i want to upgrade it to a duel core/duel cpu but ones like the sonnet cards are expensive (can bee £300+) and i was wondering if a duel 1 ghz out of another g4 would be faster and if it would work

Yes, unlike a G4 MDD, you can indeed do this on a G4 Quicksilver.

After installing the new processor, reset the CUDA switch (after taking the battery out and unplug computer from wall socket) before powering up the first time or you'll just get a grey screen and a message telling you to restart.

NB. This advice is from what I've read elsewhere and not based on my own experience.
