Which one? This will be used primarily as a secondary machine as something to fiddle with and to run some old classic games.

the dual g4 will boot OS 9, and it will hold 4 hard drives and 2 dvd drives. i have 3. I also have a G4 mini hooked up to my tv. Its great for a media computer (non hd). But the dual g4 is the ultimate OS9 gamer, and still runs leopard great with 2 gigs of ram.

Nice to hear that I was leaning towards what seems to be the best option.

Go with a slower processor as a trade off for expansion space. You'll be glad in the end.. I don't think at that speed it's really going to be that noticeable - I mean, when you're used to 2.4ghz, you won't notice the difference between 1 and 1.5..

Yeah, definitely the Dual G4. OS9 will scream on that thing, but it'll still run X just fine too.

Alright. I think it is the Powermac and not the mini. One I am looking at has the base specs for the 2002 Quicksilver:

- 2 USB ports since keyboard is not included

I am not sure if the restore discs are included, but will ask the seller if they are. If they aren't Apple should have them still...right?

Also, do you think that ~$200 - $250 about right?

I have a dual G4 as a backup machine and it's too loud, but it's the dual 500 when Apple was first coming out with duals. I don't know if Apple made it more quiet by the time they got to dual 1 gigahertz. My single 1.42 gigahertz G4 Mac mini is extremely quiet and very fast by comparison.
