Hello all, I have a question:

Me and my band need to record, and Windows sucks for it, so I was wondering, would either a Power Mac G4 or Mac Mini be good for recording with Logic Express? If so, which one is better?

The G4 Minis are limited to 1 Gb total RAM. They also have a slow laptop hard drive. If it is a choice between a G4 tower and a G4 Mini, go for the fastest tower you can afford. Then you can add large fast hard drives internally, and upgrade to 1.5 or 2 Gb RAM.

There's this damn nice G4 tower going for about $375 buy it now on eBay.. 1.5 GB RAM, 80 GB HDD, 1.45 ghz dual core proc(i think)

go for it?

I think it'd suit you well - in the long run it'll run leopard and you can put a nice fast hard disk inside (or out). From what I've read in these forums you'll also find the internal soundcard just about ok for recording things like guitars straight in - though you'll really need an interface if you don't have one.
