Hi all, I'm seeking some help. I have a 733MHz PMG4 Quicksilver, I've had it for years but haven't really used it in a while. I fired it up, and noticed something while plugging things into the USB. If there's absolutely nothing plugged into either of the two USB ports, I hear a medium pitched buzz/whine, seemingly coming from the power supply (it's all so close together it's hard to be certain what's emitting the noise, but I think it's the PSU). If I plug something into one port, the sound becomes quieter. If I use both ports, the sound goes away completely.
Is this something I should be concerned about with regards to PSU failure, or is this relatively normal? I do live in a fairly noisy area when it comes to RF interference, but I don't remember it ever doing this previously, and nothing that I know of has changed with my electric. In terms of the computer it's basically stock, with the exception of me swapping the GPU for a Radeon 9000, and adding a USB 2.0/FW800 addon PCI card, though it does not seem to affect this. Just seeking some clarity and hopefully peace of mind.
Edit: It seems now that it only buzzes if both ports are unused, I may have misheard before or it just got better after running for a while. Odd.
