Power Mac G4 'Quicksilver' + Pioneer DVR-112 DVD-RW/DL?

Any reason a Pioneer DVR-112 shouldn't work in a Power Mac G4 'Quicksilver'?

I think it should be OK, just checking I'm not missing anything obvious or otherwise as to why it might not?

From experience it should be fine, OS X is far better these days with optical drives.

Check out www.xlr8yourmac.com, they have a pretty good compatibility database.

I have a Pioneer DVR-112BK in a Quicksilver 2002 - it works fine. I just needed to remove the front plate for it to open the door silently.

Can't vouch for the 112D ... but I have the 111D and it works fine in my PM.

Rarely coasters disks, runs fast, not as quiet as I'd like, but the early PMs are louder anyway.

Will do, it's actually for my dad, though I'll end up installing it. He took over my old PMG4 and 'switched'.

It all works nicely

Just installed it for my dad this evening. Very simple and straight forward, unplug one, plug in the other. OS X and apps saw it correctly straight away, no messing around necessary.
