First day on the job. Using an old Power Mac G4. For some reason the only browser on it is Netscape 7. Awful! Wanted to download Safari or Firefox, anything, but I cannot open the dmg files. Says simple text cannot open it. Anybody know how I can get around this? Tried to download some updates but I can't open them either. Can't download Flash player or anything. Any help?

Duff-man says....sounds like the issue is that you are trying to download and install software for OS X when the G4 is running a version of OS 9. Either upgrade the OS to an appropriate version of X or look for software for OS 9...oh yeah!
