Hi,

I have a G5 Quad, and I'm trying to use it to record to/from some minidiscs. I was just wondering what sampling frequencies/ bit depths that the optical ports on the G5 support. Also is there a way to control the settings for the optical ports? I'd like to force the optical port to 44.1KHz and 16 bit depth, since that's what my FLAC files use. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for your help. Sometimes I think Apple computers are intelligently designed. Then stuff like this comes up and I remember that apple computers are designed by retards, for retards. Smh.

OK it took me a few days, but I figured it out. The sampling rate settings are controlled by the MIDI/Audio utility.
