Hello there. So I have a problem that the 2 gb ram sticks show as 1gb ram sticks on system profiler. I tried zapping the pram (Zapping the pram solved my slow PMG5),reset the smu, reseating the ram like 10 times, installed the ram in pairs and remove the other rams and putting the 2 ram sticks in pairs still doesn't works. The ram is from kingston it is running at 533mhz it 2x4 ram ddr2. I got the pmg5 from my dad's office. Does the 2x4 ram sticks gone bad? The ASD disc says the ram or ram slot is fine.

Power Mac G5 Quad late 2005

Here whats system profiler say on Memory

Edit: I put the 4 2gb kingston ram stick in the lower ram slot and I put the 256 ram sticks on the middle ram slot (The third ram slot) (And yes I remove the 2 256 mb ram sticks too but it doesn't effect anything)

Do you have a picture of the DIMMs themselves?
Where did you get them?

Suspect it could be High Density server grade (often found cheaper, for a reason) RAM not all being visible to the G5.

Hi so I got the G5 at my dad's office, and the rams is included in the G5.

The 4 ram sticks are Kingston KTA-5533/2G KIT OF 2 1.8V
