I just bought a HDMI 25.5 inch widescreen LCD but my Power Mac G5 Quad
is not recognizing the monitor. Keeps saying NO DVI SIGNAL. The funny thing
is I mounted the new monitor on my OLD G4 Silver back and Worked PERFECT.
What is up with that? I did upgrade my Video Card on my G4 Silver Back to
a Radeon 9200 Mac Edition card. Would that be the reason for my G4 recognizing my new monitor? My G5 has the GeForce 7800GT NVDA Card that came with the computer and is not recognizing my new monitor.

Can some one tell me if I did something really dumb by purchasing a new Video Card "ATI Radeon x1900 G5 Mac Edition 256MB PCIe Video Card"
which works for Power Mac G5 Quads. I am hoping this will take care of my Monitor problem. Still waiting on shipment. If anyone wants to make fun of me I would be glad to except any jokes as long as I can get help on why my Power Mac G5 Quad won't recognize a new monitor.

It should work. Somehow I had always the feeling, that the PPC Macs were better working with ATI cards, than with nVidia.

Thanks for your reply at least I know I am going on the right direction.
Oh and thanks for not making me feel stupid :)
