Did anyone tried 333 MHz (PC2700) RAM in Power Mac G5 original Dual 2.0 (sep 2003) ? I need answer from people who tried this, not opinion.

Service manual say that only single CPU or 4 DIMM slot models (1.6 and 1.8) can work with 333 MHz DDR RAM. Is this just for optimal speed or Dual CPU models must have 400 MHz (PC3200) memory ?

It's true. 333 MHz doesn't work 2.0 DP and higher clocked ones. Tried.
It's more FSB clock thing, not the CPU itself requirement IMO.

Thanks. There is a few people who say that it should work only a bit slower. I much prefer: "I tred, it does (not) work" :)

It for sure doesn't work on a June 04 dual 2.0. If you're getting it free, it can't hurt to try. If you're buying it, then just go for the PC3200 and don't risk it. :)

Logic Board is dead. Three power LED blinks and with good RAM we all know what that means. Could be those Philips multiplexers above DIMMs or DIMMs themselves....

Hair dryer fix worked, machine boots, i even succeeded to install Leo....but happiness lasted just few hours :(
