I want to upgrade my PM 6500 with SSDs and was looking for some input before I start buying parts. This is mostly for nostalgia purposes.

What I have:
PM 6500, 500Mhz Sonnet G3/L2, 128MB RAM, Mac OS 8.6
Sonnet Tempo SATA PCI card in one PCI slot
MOTU PCI-324 audio interface card in other PCI slot

What I think I need:
120GB PNY SSD drives:

drive adapter sled and cables:

battery holder to replace cube style 4.5v PRAM battery:

Does this look like it will be a viable solution? It sounds like I should be able to boot from SSD with the Sonnet Tempo card (?). I'm looking for fastest possible disk I/O to tinker with old audio workstation software/hardware on the 6500.

I also found this adapter and was wondering if this would work to replace the existing 60GB IDE drive on the 6500s stock PATA bus with an SSD.
