Power On Problem. Cutting out.

I opened up my mac mini to upgrade some RAM.

I looked at it, didnt know what to do so i closed it.
When i came to switch it on.

The white light comes on, But the rest of the system sounds responsless.
And then after 5 seconds, it will cut out.

did you properly ground yourself while touching the components inside your mac? ... I presume you just 'looked' at the electronics inside and did not take anything apart right?? If you did remove your RAM and put it back, then prolly you did not place it back properly ... check that

I did not ground myself, I touched my case, but i was unsure of how to do it.

no, i didnt remove or move anything.

Sounds like the RAM sticks are not seated properly, maybe they got dislodged when you opened the case?
