Power On when Plugged

Hi

I am not sure if this has been posted before. I wonder if anyone thinks that it's normal for MacBook to power on without having to press the power button when plugged in the power outlet? Is this normal?

Mine would sometimes wake from sleep if I plugged it in while it was closed...
