1. Reset PMU. Don't know exactly the procedure for your machine, but this is where I got help when the same thing happened to me. (http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=14449). Actually, what I do now is just turn off the machine, disconnect the power, yank out the battery, wait 5 sec. or so, and then put back battery, reconnect to AC, and restart.
2. Restart from the original Install/Restore disc that came with your Mac by inserting the disc and start up holding the C key down until it starts. If the display works, then you have a software problem. Do an Archive and Install.
4. See if you can hook up to an external display. If the system shows up on that display, then you know it's your display.
3. If it's the display, you may have to get Apple techie support.
Ok, i know this is a really stupid question... but what does the little front white light on macbooks mean? It used to be on all the time and know its normaly off... help would be appreciated, thanks!
