I think that I have a PPC addiction, I can't stop buying old Macs :) . I was happy with my Mac Mini G4 running Mac OS 9 and bought a second unit just in case. Recently I bought an iMac G4 and now I am waiting for my "new" Power Mac G4 Quicksilver 867Mhz to arrive at home ... , it was only 36 eur (shipping included) and I could not let it go.

I have some spare PC graphic cards, I have tried to find a thread explaining what are the recommended updates, any suggestion? or shall I stick with the original card?, Main use will be Mac OS 9.

I have found another "cheap" Quicksilver, a 2002 DP 1Ghz, it's not in mint condtion (some scratches) but I'm still hesitating whether I should buy it or not. Another option would be trying to find an affordable MDD, is there any silent MDD or all of them as noisy as everybody usually says?.

The recommended best card for the Mac OS 9 is the nVidia GeForce4 Titanium, followed by a flashed PC Radeon 9200 and the Radeon 8500. Later cards (like Radeon 9800 Pro) don't have any graphics acceleration in the Classic OS. Radeon 9000 Pro is an alright option, in the top 5, but see if you have any of the top 3 on hand.
