Power Settings resetting after reboot

I am running 10.11.4 on a 27" iMac late 2015. In the energy saver settings I have set the "Turn Display Off after: 30min" and checked the box for "Prevent computer from sleeping automatically.."
Every time I reboot the machine, the settings go back to default.. that being 10 min, and unchecks the "prevent computer from sleeping"
Has anybody witnessed this?
