Good evening everyone,

Its my first post here and i apologise if i am posting in the wrong corner of the forum.

I'm experiencing this fault with my Macbook Pro 2016 that shows my Macbook is charging even there is no power source connected to it. It has the black battery icon showing that it's charging but it's not.

Anyone has any resolution to this? i did restart the SMC to no avail.

Thanks in advance.
Aaron

So, nothing external is plugged in to your MBPro, no USB devices or printers, etc.?
(The USB bus COULD get enough power from an external device to, perhaps, hold the charging icon.)

Have you tried an NVRAM reset?

Nothing is plugged in. I suspected the bus was holding a charge because of the constant charging (At times, changing my position which also means changing power sources frequently.) Have not tried an NVRAM reset like you suggested, yet. Will do it now and keep you posted.

Thanks for your suggestion.

I've done 1x NVRAM to no avail and subsequently followed up with another SMC reset, which seems to solve the issue, for now. Thank you for your help :)
