I posted a thread in the MBP section as I wasn't sure if it was something related to the MBP/video card or the monitor. I kept having issues with the monitor shutting off for no reason 1-2 times an hour when connected with the MBP in extended desktop mode. This has been going on since I got the new computer and monitor in August. After talking to AppleCare and creating the 3rd case report, the customer service representative tried doing everything that he could over the phone without any help. He said he would contact the Apple engineering division. He finally got back to me and in the end it seems like a batch of displays in the same run as mine have had a power supply issue resulting in the problem I have had. AC took good care of me. Told me to go to my local Apple store and that they would take care of it. Walked out today with a brand new 24in display. Hopefully this monitor won't develop the same issue.
