i would assume it would work but dont hold me to it!
a quick call to the Apple store would probably be your best bet

Does anyone know if a macbook pro power supply work with the new macbook? Or will it blow it up?!

A Macbook Pro power supply works great with a Macbook. The Pro power supply is rated at 85W, while the Macbook power supply is rated 60W. In fact the Pro power supply will run cooler since you are not demanding much from it.

The opposite is NOT true, since the Macbook power supply can't deliver adequate current.

I got 2 extra 85W units for home & office, use the supplied 60W unit for traveling. Have had no problem.

At the AppleStore in Osaka, 2 diff. guys said, "Well, it should work, but we don't officially support it"; guy at Yodobashi, a kind of Elec. big box store, said, "No problem." In fact, on the side of the 85W's box it explicitly says "Compatible only with MacBook Pro and MacBook Computers."
