Picked up the Powerbeats Pro 2.
In transparency mode I’m detecting a noticeable hiss in the background in a quiet space. Is this called noise floor?

I know it can happen with ANC.

Anyways, I put on my APP2 and in transparency mode the hiss is significantly less and pretty much undetectable.

Can anyone else try this out and notice the same if you have both of these?

Wondering if it’s the pair I have or is it more common.

I'm experiencing the exact same issue. There's a noticeable hissing sound or static noise in transparency mode, which is a significant contrast to my AirPods Pro 2 where there's no detectable sound at all. Very disappointing.

I personally think it’s a Beats thing. I have the same issue with my Beats Fit Pro, and if you look at Reddit, lots of people experience the hissing with their Beats headphones too. I wonder whether Beats uses a different algorithm and/or hardware (aside from the H1/2 chip) for ANC since their ANC is also noticeably weaker than the AirPods Pro.
