When out on a work job to deliver some new ThinkPads today someone passed us an old PowerBook 100 they found in a cupboard for disposal. Me being an inquisitive bloke tried to fire it up but I'm not getting very far. It flickered into life when on the mains for a couple of seconds then goes dead again. Left it powered for a couple of hours to give it the battery a kick then tryed it again. Get a quick chime, followed by the screen powering up for a few seconds with a mouse pointer then it goes off again.

Any ideas?

Likely a powersupply/fuse problem or the PRAM needs reset. A search in Google for the PowerBook 100 manual would likely get you all the info you need to reset the power system/PMU/PRAM.
