My powerbook 12" is being odd. It is doing this strange cycling thing where it charges the battery for a second, the screen dims like it was unplugged, recalculates the battery charge time, starts to charge, the screen dims, recalculates....

I reset the PDU by hitting shift-crtl-option-power and it didnt' seem to do anything. Anyone have any ideas?

Thanks!

Could the battery be bad? I'm just throwing out ideas...

Can you swap the battery with another (a friend) and see if it does the same thing?

Good Luck!

You know whats weird - it just stopped doing it. It just stopped changing states and rebooted and that was it. I rebooted a bunch of times and tried everything I could think of, but nothing helped. I guess it just needed some R and R.

Thanks for the replies - I'll let you know if it misbehaves again! Its such a nice machine, I hate to ditch it.
