Powerbook 15" RAM stupidity - Please help Mac Newbie

hey everyone, i'm a recent converter (windows to apple) and have this wonderful powerbook 15". i was told not to buy the extra RAM from apple and to just buy and install a 512MB card separately and for much cheaper.

sounds good, but despite my cautiousness, I bought the wrong card! I know b/c the darn thing doesn't fit; not even close...

Can some PLEASE make it really easy for me and tell me EXACTLY what 512MB RAM card I need for my powerbook? a link would be even better...

I foolishly bought this:
Kingston 512MB 333MHz DDR PC2700 DIMM CL2.5
What am I just not getting?

Go to crucial.com, choose apple, choose powerbook, choose 15" G4 1GHz (or 1.25GHz).

The type of RAM you need is DDR333 PC2700, SODIMM!!

with the SODIMM's at the bottom of the page.

check http://www.apple.com/powerbook/specs.html for the specs.

Assuming you have the new 15" Alluminum powerbook, here is what you are looking for: http://eshop.macsales.com/Catalog_Item.cfm?ID=6220&Item=OWC2700DDRS512A

I have bought ram from this company (Other World Computing) before and have had great experience.

You probably made the mistake of getting ram for a desktop computer, which in most cases, is physically larger.
