Ok, here's the entire story, I'll try to leave no detail out.

Last Christmas I recieved a Powerbook G4, it worked fantastically, until after a few months of having it, the right side fan started making a whirring noise. An unbelievably annoying whirring noise. You could kind of hear it when the CPU wasn't doing much, and then it'd become very noticable whenever I used photoshop or played WoW. It became so annoying that I attempted to open up the machine to find out what was wrong, but I got to those two star shaped screws and had to give up. (Mainly because I was too lazy to go buy the screwdrivers.) Anyway, the noise went away, and I assumed everything was hunky dory. Though I did notice that the machine could get so hot that I couldn't put it on my lap sometimes. I also noticed performance slipping sometimes, and my trackpad becomes totally unusable when it gets that hot. Just a few days ago, the left fan has started making that same noise and I'm worried. I'm worried that the right fan died, and that the left fan is on it's way. I'm worried that my powerbook might be overheating.

So my questions are these:
1 Is there anyway to tell if a fan is broken without opening it up or taking it to a technician? (the closest one is 200 miles away)

2 If the fans are dieing/dead, is that covered in the one year warranty.

3. I downloaded a program called Tempurature monitor, and here is what it said
Battery Temperature 38C /100.4F
Power Supply Bottomside 47.5C /117F
Processor Bottomside 46.8C /116.2F
Processor/Controller Bottomside 45.5C /113.9F
Smart DISK "blah blah numbers numbers" 39C /102.2F
Trackpad 40C /104F

These are taken while running only safari, and are pretty much what the temps are when idle. So my question is this, am I overheating? or are these temps normal?

4. If the right fan did fail, and it caused heat problems which caused damage to the system, is that convered in the warranty?

I'm not sure if this is the appropriate place to post this, if it's not, my apologies. It seemed like it was.
