When I connect my new 12" PB to my old Apple monitor, the screen on the 2nd monitor won't stop rolling. I don't know exactly what model the old monitor is, but it's been around awhile. I was using it in college back in '98, and it hasn't been used for probably 3 or 4 years. My pointer will dissapear off the PB screen, but I can't see well enough on the 2nd screen to tell what's even on there. There's a small access panel on the back of the monitor that has adjustments for contrast, h/v position, etc. But I don't see any dials for vertical hold. Any thoughts on what the trouble could be?

Do you have the proper drivers installed on the new PB?
Everytime something like this happens to me, I discover another driver or some firmware that I haven't updated. I run 2 monitors off my new 12" PB and it works like a charm.

Good luck.

do I need drivers for a monitor? If so, where would I look for one for a monitor this old? and what's firmware? could it be something has gone wrong with the monitor, or that one this old isn't compatible?
