Does your HDTV has DVI connector?
Or HDMI - you can get adapters to convert DVI to that. S-Video will look a bit weak on an HDTV but perhaps not terrible if that's your only option.

didn't buy it yet. was looking for an answer before. I'm planning to buy a Panasonic TH-42PX60. I think i found the answer, a Monster cable HDMI to DVI and plug it to my PowerMac G5...

FWIW, while the TH-42PX60 is 42", it's only 1024x768.

I have no idea if they're available around you, but I bought a 37" Westinghouse (nicer versions are available, but mine - the LVM-37w1 - is only US$1499 at Best Buy). 1920x1080. Beautiful picture. Works perfectly with my mini duo's DVI output.

would using the HDMI connector give a better picture than using a vga connection?

Techinically yes, but in practice they'll look the same unless you're running a 10'+ VGA cable (then lookup Google for more info). If anything, you may run into overscan issues with HDMI that you won't with VGA.

I was using VGA on my 30" HD LCD Olevia, and it would auto-resize, and it looked great.

I run my PB to my 40" Samsung LCD TV. Full res picture through 5 meters of VGA.

Beware, HDMI inputs only allow overscan with out of bound edges or pixel for pixel matching from all I have experienced and read.
