my houemate has a powerbook G4, and my girlfirend has an iBook G4. he's recently put a gig of ram in it so he's got a 512MB dimm hanging about.

does anyone know if it will fit in my girlfriends iBook or is it different?

cheers guys

Without getting technical, you can take Powerbook-spec RAM and put it in the iBook, but not the reverse.

i think he bought the powerbook ram from crucial (the 512MB). so basically crucial ship the same ram out to powerbook and iBook users?

so is it worth doing? will it void the iBook warranty? will it overheat or something?
