Hi guys,

I have a powerbook G4 1.5GHz super drive. And it's getting kinda old, I can't even use iPhoto smoothly, and I am looking into upgrade.

Two question:

Just how much more performance advantage can a MacBook offer over my current setup? If there is any real life examples that will be great.

Also, I am not going to school no more, so I don't have to have a laptop, is iMac perform much better than MacBook? Or MacBook is enough?

Many thanks.

how much RAM do you have in your powerbook? an upgrade of RAM can often do wonders.

As for performance boosts from the MB/iMac, the difference will probably be huge. If you don't need the portability, the imac is definately the way to go. In either case, make sure you have at least a gig of RAM in them. That gets the machines running smooth :D
