Powerbook Audio Question

I seem to be having a stereo bleed issue with my 17" POwerbook

I have a video with a split stereo track and the Left and right are bleeding together. I have the same issue coming out of Reason, Cubase and Final Cut Pro. Is this a hardware issue on my box are does anyone else have the same issue?
