Hi all
I am starting to have a problem with my 12" G4 powerbook and transferring files from USB devices. The files will get through about 85% of the transfer and then proceed to hang.
This has only started in the last few days.
I have narowed the field down to USB key devices above 2gig. I have used these keys before with no ill effects. The same thing is now starting to happen with my iphone....
When I attempt to sync it with the mac, the computer goes through the motions and hangs when trying to transfer applications over. I end up having to force quit/restart the laptop.
My belief is that somewhere along the line the USB "reader" has become unfriendly towards large capacity devices.
I am wondering if anybody has seen this before and knows how to fix it?
many thanks
eamon
The computer is a 12" G4 Powerbook with 786ram and an 80GB HD and running 10.4.11
