Hello, i've got a powerbook with 2 login names when i happen to need just one. Could anyone tell me what would happen with the information stored under a login name if you erase it?
would it be lost?

Yes, it will be lost (it warns you of this before it lets you delete the account).

However, you can transfer what you need out of the account you are deleting and then delete it. That way you don't lose anything.

Its probably also best to delete the one that isn't the administrator [ie the one you created first]. Remember that if you want to change the name of a "Home" folder then DON't JUST CHANGE THE NAME BY CLICKING ON IT BELOW!*

* Why don't Apple just disable this feature? It causes sooo many problems.:confused:
