PowerBook Folder/File problem

I have a tiny, but very very annoying problem with my PowerBook. When I open new windows & arrange my files & folders in a specific way, for example, by Name. Whenever I restart the machine the files & folders go their seperate ways & become messy again. This happens everytime & I have gone through the same proceedures which work on my PowerMac, but to no avail?

Has anyone else experienced problems like this, if so how do I solve it? 😕 😡
