powerbook g3 gone dead

I recently bought a G3 Powerbook (wall street) from a buddy to back up one I've already got. I let it sit for about a month or so, and now it's not getting any power whatsoever. Won't turn on, no lights, no nothing. I tried putting a charged battery in it, changing power cords, hitting the power reset in the back. Nothing. Did I just buy a $400 paperweight? If anyone could help out, I'd appreciate it.
