Hi there

I recently bought PowerBook G3 Pismo 500 MHz. It doesn’t starts, after chime — nothing, internal fan doesn’t spins. I tried pulling PRAM battery and put battery in both sides — nothing. Does anyone have any idea what the problem is?

Sorry for bad English.

Does the display come on after the chime?

It could be a failed hard drive. Try disconnecting the hard drive and power on again.

If the display shows a flashing system folder then you’ll likely need to install another HDD or SSD.

Display not comes on, tried connect to monitor using VGA, monitor says no signal. Tried disconnect HDD, no changes.

Here are some troubleshooting ideas from the Service Manual for the PowerBook G3 Lombard, which might also apply to the Pismo.
