I am thinking of upgrading the memory of my PB G4 ... currently i have the stock 512 mb and want to max it out ... what's the better brand I should go for ... Crucial or Kingston ... or other ...

thanks for your help ...

I am in Toronto ... (Canada)

I believe Apple uses Kingston. for that matter, so do I. But I can't say it's better than Crucial... both good brands.

Yeah...

I went to 18004memory.com and got a one gig stick to complement the built in 256 for less than $100 (it was a year and a half ago).

I've never had one issue with it.

I'd recommend either OWC or DMS. PPC Macs can be picky about RAM, and both of these companies guarantee Mac compatibility and have terrific customer service if you have any problems. Both have very good prices, too.

Where are you located?

Given your location, I'd recommend Canada RAM. Trevor from Canada RAM has been a helpful member here at MacRumors for many years...he'll take care of you.
