a profane existence
Just had a neighbourhood wide power outage and now my powerbook g4 (see sig) won't wake up from sleep. I was recharging the battery when the outage happened. I had just plugged it in too.

Power is now back on. and I let it charge for over an hour.

The little green lights on the battery show full charge (I only get around 30-40mins anyway). It was plugged into a surge protector but I think the outage affected the pb because I can't wake it from sleep or do a hard shutdown. Tried plugging and unplugging mice and graphics tablet but nothing.

I'm thinking I might have to reset the pmu. Should I reset the pmu while it is still in sleep mode or should I remove the battery and unplug it?

Edit: Never mind. I did the pmu reset while it was still in sleep mode and everything is fine. I was worrying (a little) over nothing.
