Powerbook g4 17

i have a powerbook g4 17 in a1107. The back light does not work. im not at all sure what the display resolution is. if i install an lcd screen with anything other than the original resolution, will the notebook be able to support it?

Well if you know how to connect it all, than the machine will support it. Its the LCD that determines the resolution. Not the Computer Itself.
