Powerbook G4 500 Freezes when moved

Hello. I have a Powerbook G4 500 and works perfectly. The problem is that when I move it around or put it to sleep by closing the lid or from the Apple menu everything freezes and stops. The mouse pointer does not work, nothing works exept for the Caps button and Num button that light up. Apart from that you can only switch it off by pressing for some time the on/off button. Does anyone know what is the main problem. Heared that it could be the logic board. Any idea how much that would cost??? Thanks
